HAMMERFALL: In Mixing Mode
November 9, 2004HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"The last weekend of October saw us host a listening session for the journalists in Studio Lundgård. Close to 40 people from all over the world were present to listen to the material we have spent the past two months recording. It’s hard to tell what they really felt after hearing the ten songs, but everyone seemed to be satisfied with the production and the direction we have taken this time. It is the heaviest HAMMERFALL album so far, and I got the impression people definitely concurred. At the time of writing, however, I am lodged up in Mi Sueno Studios on Tenerife once again, and the mixing process is in full swing. We have another week to go, laying the finishing touches to our new album."
HAMMERFALL's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" will be released on March 7 (most of Europe),March 8 (U.S.) and March 9 (Sweden) through Nuclear Blast Records. A single will precede the album on January 31. Tracks set to appear on the CD include "Born to Rule", "Hammer of Justice", "The Templar Flame", "Take the Black", "Fury of the Wild", "Secrets", "Never, Ever", "Blood Bound", "Imperial" and "Knights of the 21st Century".
